Unfortionately, due to filming commitments on her new series THREE RIVERS, Kate Moennig is no longer able to attend this event.

I received the following e-mail from her representatives:-

Kate is on a new series that has been picked up and they have just begun shooting. I tried to see if the producers were willing to give her these few days off. But since it is a new production and she is one of the leads, they do not feel they can guarantee her out.

So unfortuntatley i think you need to replace her due to her work constraints.


I have begun immediate work on finding a replacement.

As to the other guests; Mia Kirshner and Alexandra Hedison are already in Europe, and Pam Grier and Rose Rollins have also confirmed that they are still able to attend. Guinevere Turner may have a conflict, but currently does not know.

I can appreciate that many will be dissapointed, but guest appearances are always subject to work commitments, and their acting career must take precedence. I will ensure that there are still six guests at this event.

Ok, this in not fair! I'm serious! You have a responsability towards people who spent a lot of MONEY for this event.
I bought the Gold Ticket ONLY for Kate. I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT MIA OR GUINEVERE, WHO THE HELL IS SHE?

You can't just change things like that and don't care about us. You can't annouce that Kate is not coming 20 days before the event without an explanation!

A lot of fans are coming only for Kate and you should know better.

How did you purchase a Gold Ticket just for Kate? Gold Tickets sold out in November 2008, and Kate was not announced until March 2009, five months later. So it is impossible to have purchased a Gold Ticket just to see Kate.

Over half the tickets had sold before Kate was announced, so how can most attendees have purchased tickets just to see her?

I have given an explanation as to why she is not attending, please check my post again. Kate was not able to secure time off from her new show, THREE RIVERS.

I clearly put in all advertising that guests appear subject to their acting work commitments.

The event is, after all, and L-WORD event, not a Kate Moenning event.
